Wide mode

You can change the screen size using WIDE on the remote control.

Press WIDE to select the Wide mode.

Each time you press WIDE, the mode

changes as follows. You can select the

desired mode.

• The Wide mode screen will disappear automatically after 4 seconds.

Description

In this mode the picture is progressively stretched toward each side of the screen.

For 16:9 squeeze pictures.

For 16:9 letterbox pictures. Bars may appear on the top and bottom with some programmes.

For 4:3 “standard” pictures. A side bar appears on each side.

For 14:9 letterbox pictures. A thin side bar appears on each side, and you may

also see bars on the top and bottom with some programmes.

NOTE

Note:

• WSS (Wide Screen Signalling) information refers to the

original wide mode information sent from the broadcasting

station.

• This function works when your external device such as a

DVD supports WSS or you receive the signal from the

broadcasting station where available.
